【Abstract】 This paper gives an introduction to the characteristics of engineering geology and hydrogeology at the damsite of the Longyangxia Hydropower Plant. and makes a statistical comparative analysis of the groundwater at the two river--banks. and then derives a basic regulation. It is pointed out that the water for construction is the main factor leading to the groundwater level rise. and that a concentrated infiltration access probably exists.
