铟在无汞碱性锌锰电池中的应用

【摘要】 铟是碱性锌锰电池无汞化代汞添加剂必不可少的组分。铟具有低的电阻率、高的可塑性、高的析氢过电位和高的化学稳定性。铟的这些特性使其在碱性锌锰电池中较好地起到代汞的作用。主要的代汞作用包括提高锌粉的析氢过电位、降低锌粉之间以及锌粉与集流体之间的接触电阻、提高电池的抗振动能力和提高锌的活性。铟在碱性锌锰电池中的使用包括制成锌铟合金粉、集流体上镀铟和在碱液中加入三氧化二铟或氢氧化铟等

【Abstract】 Indium was a necessary component of substitutes for the mercury free alkaline zinc manganese battery. Indium had characteristic of low electrical resistivity, high deformation, high chemical stability and high hydrogen evolution overpotential. With these characteristics, indium could play an important role like mercury in alkaline zinc manganese battery. It was used in the battery to replace mercury to improve hydrogen evolution overpotential of the negative electrode, to lower contact resistance between zinc powder and/or negative current collector, to improve the shock resistance of the battery and to improve activity of zinc. Indium was plated on the current collector and was alloyed with zinc powder. Indium trioxide or indium hydroxide was used in alkaline solution.
