【Abstract】 People in the Tang Dynasty were rather conservative about women’s chastity for few widowed women remarried although remarried women were not despised,a fact well supported by large number of epitaphs.The nobility,however,held completely different opinions about chastity due to the influence of the northern nomads but their practice never became the mainstream.Such concept of women’s chastity has become the example for women of the coming generations to follow.更多还原
