【Abstract】 Though Hong Ren gan was an important leader of the Tai ping Heavenly Kingdom,he had broken the fetters of ideas of the peasantry,probing into ways to save the people and nation by seeking advantages from foreign countries.As an advanced intellectual with obvious tendencies towards capitalism,Hong Ren gan not only had original views on how to make use of religion in the Peasant War,but also smashed the bonds of the theory of Chinese Learning as the Base and Western Learning for Use,advocating opening to the outside world in an all round way.His New Guide to Government was the first perfect program pioneered in the history of contemporary China to reform modern China by following the examples of the Western countries.It represents the highest level of the concept of learning from the west and opening to the qutside world at that time.更多还原
