【Abstract】 Through a historical investigation into the relations between the private correspondence among scientists and the advent of sci-tech periodicals in the mid-seventeenth century, we have discovered the earliest forms and the growing patterns of the function of sci-tech periodicals, thus providing an explanatory note to the evolution of sci-tech periodicals into a powerful medium for scientific information exchanging and spreading and to the different levels of its functional structure.更多还原
