【Abstract】 Empty category which has been developed from the transformational-generative grammar (TG for short) into the theory of government and binding (GB for short) comes about as a new concept now. It is one of the most important subsystems in the theory of government and binding. Now we attempt to employ the theory of empty category to analyse the empty category in chinese sentence patterns which are the same in forms but different in structures. Besides, we do so in order to improve the understanding of "Empty Form" in traditional Chinese grammatical analyses,so as to try to prove whether the theory of Universal Grammar (UG for short) is still suitable to chinese.更多还原
