【Abstract】 Apoptosis increasingly infiltrated into the field of cardiovascular research.In this paper,mechanisms of apoptosis gene in mediating heart failure,its trigger factor and signal pathway as well as the newly discovered pharmacological mechanism—inhibition of apoptosis—of pharmaceuticals for treatment of heart failure such as carvedilol,vesnarinone,ACE inhibitors and angiotensin Ⅱ receptor antagonists were introduced.Investigation and development of drugs for treatment of heart failure in terms of apoptosis may be the novel approches for prevention and treatment of heart failure.
