【摘要】 第 1 6届国际植物学大会于 1 999年 8月 1日至 7日在美国密苏里召开 ,这是 2 0世纪世界植物学家的最后一次盛会 ,大约有 450 0名代表出席了会议。会议围绕生物多样性的保护和利用、2 1世纪的植物科学等主题展开讨论 ,主要内容包括 6个方面 ,即植物生物多样性 :系统和进化 ;生态学、环境和保护生物学 ;结构、发育和细胞生物学 ;遗传和基因组学 ;植物生理和生物化学 ;植物的人类利用 :经济植物学和生物技术。本文简要介绍了大会的概况 ,特别评述了有关植物多样性研究方面的进展 ,并对我国植物科学发展提出建议。更多还原

【Abstract】 About 4500 participants gathered in St. Louis,Missouri,USA from 1 to 7 August, 1999 for the 16th International Botanical Congress—the last grand meeting of the world’s botanists in the 20th century. The discussions ranged from the conservation of botanical diversity to the challenges and opportunities: plant science in the 21st century. Twenty one Symposia focused on six disciplinary areas, those are, Botanical diversity: systematics and evolution;Ecology,environment and conservation; Structure,development and cellular biology; Genetics and genomics; Physiology and biochemistry; Human uses of plants: economic botany and biotechnology. An introduction on the congress was given and especially on the botanical diversity conservation in detail. And a few suggestions on China’s plant science in the future was put forward.更多还原
