【Abstract】 The present status of Web GIS for internet is briefly reviewed. The main features of Web GIS as a tool of information management specially designed for internet are described. This paper is focusing on its application in earthquake disaster management system, such as as- sessment of seismic damage and losses, rapid response after an occurrence of strong earthquake and relief of earthquake disasters.
