【Abstract】 Multi layer spray deposition is a novel spray deposition technology, which has its advantages in building up large and thich pipe, but has shortcoming to control the shape. This paper described the theory, process and characterization of multi layer spray deposition, analysed the cause of the defect, and delineated the motion mode of the pipe buildup, and the application of PLC in multi layer spray deposition to intelligently control of the pipe shape.
