【Abstract】 Time delay estimation is a well-known problem that occurs in many fields. When multiple echoes are closely spaced in arrival time, super resolution time delay estimation is required, which is a notorious difficult problem. In this paper, the authors first summarized the recent status of the research on super resolution time delay estimation techniques. Then some recent progresses of our research on this topic are introduced, including a novel family of computationally efficient algorithms with different applications.
