【Abstract】 This paper described how rapid prototyping promoted development process of new products in manufacturing industry. Based on the author’s experiences on application of RP, a new flow chart of product innovation featuring rapid prototyping was proposed. The profit resulting from its application was also analyzed and a forecasting method was proposed. Experiences showed that rapid prototyping is a key enabling technology promoting product innovation.更多还原
