【Abstract】 Applied in environmental regulation, information approach is changing the traditional environmental regulatory model. The promising approach that is called public disclosure of environmental performance rating for industrial Firms (PDEPRIF) is now growing in developing countries. This approach, which is used to analyze rates and publicly discloses the environmental performance of industrial firms, can provide powerful incentives for encouraging industrial firms to improve their environmental performance. This paper first introduces the concept of PDEPRIF, and the principals of design and the steps of implementation for this new approach. Then, the trial program for PDEPRIF in Zhenjiang is introduced as an example to demonstrate how to design and implement this new approach, including how to design 5-color rating system to evaluate and rate, and symbolize industrial firms environmental performance.更多还原
