【Abstract】 Variable selection and discriminant analysis are two important problems in analysis of questionnaire data. In this paper, four new approaches to variable selection are proposed based on information theory, a simple comparison of these methods is also given. At the same time, an information theoretic algorithm for discriminant analysis is simply de- scribed. Contrasting to previous work, the algorithm can be used in situations with multiple groups of samples, and the computation is very simple.更多还原
