【Abstract】 Plague of locusts often occured in Chifeng grassland. The natural conditions and uncontrolled grassland use were the main causes for the emergence and development of locusts. Under the condition of mastering the occuring law and distribution range of locusts the following control strategies should be carried out: (1) Focus on grassland management, utilize the grassland properly, (2) monitor and control the population of main locusts, (3) protect and use locust’s natural enemy, and (4) integrated control.
