【Abstract】 Five compounds were isolated from the seed of Allium tuberosum Rottl. ex Spreng.. On the basis of chemical and spectroscopic analysis, they were identified as: N cis feruloyl 3 methyldopamine (Ⅰ), (named tuberosine A), N trans feruloyl 3 methyldopamine (Ⅱ), N trans coumaroyl tyramine (Ⅲ), 3 formylindole (Ⅳ) and 3 pyridine carboxylic acid (Ⅴ).
