【Abstract】 This paper examines the cultural differences between Chinese and English in terms of lexes and utterances. Languages are culturespecific and cultural messages are generally conveyed through the language. A translator, therefore, needs to take account of the culture-related messages in translating, with a view to accurately and appropriately representing in the target language the cultural ideas in the source text.更多还原
