【Abstract】 A new phenylpropanoid (1) together with five known triterpenoids were isolated from the spikes of Prunella vulgaris. Their structures were established on the basis of spectral analysis as 3,4,a-trihydroxy-butyl phenylpropionate (1), ?a,?a,24-trihydroxyursa-12,20(30)-dien-28-oic acid (2), ?a,?a, 24-trihydroxyolean-12-en-28- oic acid (3), ?a,?a,24-trihydroxyursa-12-en-28-oic acid (4), ?a,?b-dihydroxyolean-12-en-28-oic acid (5) and ?a,?b-dihydroxyursa- 12-en-28-oic acid (6).
