【Abstract】 The temporal data mining (TDM) is one of new fields of study of data mining with the important applications in the knowledge discovery and data mining.Both of the temporal type and the time granularity are two necessary elements to describe the temporal data mining. This paper discusses some problems of temporal type and time granularity. We present conceptions of temporal type,time granularity, rough time granularity, basis temporal type, basis time granularity and basis time. We study their relationships with describing absolute time and obtain some important results. Finally,we give an example of discovering simple frequent event patterns,which is significant in study of the temporal data mining.更多还原
