基于消息传递的并行计算环境:MPI与PVM的比较
TWO KINDS OF BASED MESSAGE PASSING PARALLEL COMPUTING ENVIRONMENT: PVM AND MPI ’S COMPARISON
【摘要】 本文对在分布式计算中广泛应用的二种并行计算环境 MPI(Message Passing Interface)和 PVM(ParallelVirtual Machine)进行了比较 .从 MPI和 PVM的设计思想出发 ,在可移植性、任务控制和分配、资源管理、容错、安全通信的上下文和多线程、通信方式、名字服务和消息句柄八个方面分析了它们各自的功能特点
【Abstract】 MPI and PVM two kinds of parallel computing environment of widespread used in distributed computing are compared . The features and capabilities about them are discussed through the design ideas, portability, task control and distribute, resource control, fault tolerance, context for safe communication and muti thread, communication mode, name service and message handler.
