【Abstract】 Because of the high complexity of ITU-T G-723.1 algorithm, this paper present a novel speechcodec-PS-ACELP which is an ACELP algorithm based on pre-searching strategy. The proposed codec iscompatible with bit stream of G.723.1 5.3kbps algorithm, and about equal in speech quality with G.723.1 codec,but the complexity is only around 12 MIPS.
