【Abstract】 In this essay the author analyzes the performance of Emperor Menelik Ⅱ in the patriotic war against Italy from five aspects:1、Erasing the feudal separatist regions within his country,thus laying the foundation of national unity against foreign aggression;2、Earnestly promoting modern reform,thus enhancing the integral national strength to resist aggression and defend independence;3、Resolutely refusing the aggressors’ endless greediness,urging the whole country to rise up for a war of resistance;4 、taking advantage of the contradictions among the great powers,winning supports from France and Russia,improving his international status;5、Implementing flexible tactics and strategy,inducing the enemy into deep mountainous terrain,annihilating them separately and thus defeating the aggressors.更多还原
