【Abstract】 Objective To assess the effects of hormone replacement therapy on postmenopausal vaginal atro- phy and sexual function. Methods 30 postmenopausal women received oral conjugated estrogen 0. 625mg/d plus medroxyprogesterone acetate 2mg/d (HRT group) and 15 others took calcium carbonate 500mg/d (placebo group) for 3 months. Vaginal health scores and sexual activity scores were evaluated before and after treat- ment. Results The vaginal health scores increased significantly (from 8.2±2. 9 to 13.8±3. 1, P<0. 01) and sexual activity scores were significantly higher in HRT group (P<0.05, P<0.01), but did not show a change in placebo group (P>0.05). Conclusion The HRT reduces postmenopausal complaints of dyspareunia and vagi- nal dryness, enhanced sexual activity and improved quality of sexual life.更多还原
