【Abstract】 It is a usual way for drivers to estimate the speed of a locomotive by the sense of speed on coming sleepers. While a locomotive runs at a low speed, this sense is more directly perceived than that from reading the speedometer. But as looking at objects moving at high speed may cause eyestrain, in the cab of high speed locomotive, concentrating on fast moving sleepers for a long time may also lead to visual fatigue or dizziness.
