【摘要】 霍布斯政治理论的性质是专制的还是自由的 ,在其生前身后均是争论的一个热点。从霍布斯政治思想的内容及其产生背景来看 ,他不完全是在为君主专制辩护 ,但其构想的国家“利维坦”的主权是不加限制的、绝对的 ,因而“利维坦”无疑是专制的。另一方面 ,霍布斯政治思想的个人主义的理论基础 ,工具主义、消极的国家观等又使其政治思想成为近代西方自由主义的先驱更多还原

【Abstract】 There is a long discussion about the quality of Hobbes’s political thought during and since his time.On consideration of the background and content of his political thought,the most important point is not to defend for or only for absolute monachy,but for unlimited and absolute soveregnty.The state of his Leviathan is absolute.On the other hand,the presumption of possessive individualism in his political thought and negative view of state make him a precursor of liberalism of modern western world.更多还原
