【Abstract】 Objective To observe the clinical results of the high energy shock waves(HESW)for treatment of nonunions of long bones. Methods A total of 19 patients with nonunions of long bones were treated with HESW.All patients were immobilised in a plaster cast or external fixation after operation.The X-ray films were made every 4 weeks for the evaluation of fracture healing.The serum AKP and BGP were detected before and 2 weeks after treatment.
