局域气氛下电接触瞬态热源表面强化新设备研究

【摘要】 根据锻模的损伤机理 ,针对模具的高寿命和良好的抗磨损要求 ,提出了一种局域气氛下电接触瞬态热源表面强化新工艺 ,并设计了一台用于材料表面强化的新设备。应用该设备对典型热锻模材料进行表面强化处理 ,取得了良好的改性效果

【Abstract】 One headache of many Chinese factories is the much too short life of forging die. We propose a new surface hardening device for prolonging its life. Figs.1, 2, and 3 show how our proposed device works. At any moment, the moving roller electrode is only in contact with a very localized portion of the substrate specimen. Resistive heating creates a thin hardened layer under localized inert atmosphere out of the localized portion of the substrate specimen in contact. Synchronous motion of the roller and substrate specimen provides a hardened thin layer over the entire substrate specimen. The device worked quite well in the laboratory. We need to make some improvements before trying it out in the actual production.
