基于体素模型的体绘制算法
A New Volume Rendering Algorithm for Medical Images
【摘要】 提出了一种基于体素模型的体绘制算法。该算法结合了面绘制及直接体绘制的优点 ,可以利用 Open GL图形标准及硬件加速对图象序列进行三维重建。重建效果逼真 ,重建速度较快 ,具有算法简单、实现容易的优点。
【Abstract】 The visualization of medical volume dataset can efficiently aid physicians with their diagnoses. The existing two methods, surface rendering and direct volume rendering, suffer from the shortcomings that the calculation overhead of direct volume rendering is too big, and surface rendering can not display the details. We present a new voxel based algorithm to overcome these shortcomings. First we segment the volume dataset into regions of interest and background. Each voxel is assigned an opacity value. Then we display the segmented volume dataset directly. In the process of reconstruction, OpenGL graphics standard and hardware acceleration are used. Fig.4 gives examples of 3D reconstruction from real medical dataset. They show that our method can efficiently display the details. Besides, it is much faster (3~10 times faster in our examples).
