【Abstract】 Based on the concept of distributed artificial intelligence (DAI), the research branches, specially the rationales and basic problems of multi-agent systems (MAS) are discussed. The researches and developments in the main problems of MAS, such as tasks allocation, communication, coordination and coherence are investigated.
