【Abstract】 In this paper deals with a revision of the genus Neomargarodes Green (1915) and makes a key for identification of the species recorded in China and its neighbouring countries. Species new to science and new record to China are reported. Neomargarodes chondrillae(Arch., 1935), n.record Syn.:N.gossypii Yang(1979), n.syn. N.gossypii was as a new species published in ENTOMOTAXONOMIA in 1979, I(1): 37-41, by Yang Ji-kun, based on material came from the pest area of cultivated cottons (Henan, Hebei and Shandong Provinces) as occupied by me. Prof. Yang suggested nothing in his English abstract of this paper, but in Chinese to the species trabuti and chondrillae on sharing with 6-segmented antennae and T-shaped claw of anterior leg, but distinct in different structure of anterior claw’s heel and multilocular pores". So far as we know, 6-segmented antennae is common in this genus. As to the shape of anterior claw there are 3 species related, such as trabuti, ramosus and chondrillae, to which gossypii is fallen in with chondrillae. In regard to different structure of multilocular pores, we cann’t know any suggestions from Yang’s paper and illustration. Pass throuth study on my occupied material came from same origin, the structure of this pore is no difference from chondrillae. Moreover, the bar of thoracic spiracle and the distribution of cicatrices in cyst of adult female are all the same as in chondrillae. The accompaning illustrations are based on material sent by Prof.Xing Jin-zhen of China Agricultural Scientific Academy(a part of that material sent by Xiang to Yang). Neomargarodes cucurbitae Tang, n.sp. Holotype: 1 adult female, Paratypes: 14 adult females, 7 1st stage nymphs, 4 female cysts and 12 male cysts, collected by Mr Su Jun-min from Hami of Xinjiang on roots of cucumbers (Cucurbita melo), May, 1987. Types are deposited in the University’s collection. It is very close to the species chondrillae but different from that as follows: 1,multilocular pores on dorsum of body each with a clear central pore and with peripheral loculi arranged more or less irregularly. 2,thoracic spiracular bar trumpet in shape. 3,anterior claw with inner margin straight. 4,body size much larger. 5,it is much distinct with different distribution of cicatrices in female cyst, viz. on dorsum in 3 longitudinal rows and on ventrum in 2 lateral rows, all simplified, but in chondrillae is another pattern: absent on dorsum and with ventral rows all multiplied. Neomargarodes niger(Green, 1912) Recorded by Ferris 1949 in Kunming City of Yunnan Province on an undetermined grass.
