【Abstract】 Mononuclear nickel （Ⅱ） complex [ Ni （dppe） Cl₂] （dppe = Ph₂PCH₂CH₂PPh₂） has been synthesized by replacement reaction in CHCl₃ and characterized by specific elemental analyses, molecular weight determination, IR spectra, XPS, conductivity and X-ray single crystal analysis. The crystal is monoclinic, space group P2₁/ c, a = 11. 429（2）, 6 = 13. 346（2）, c = 15.953（7） A; β = 99. 13（3）°, V= 2402.5A³, Z =4, F（000） = 1088, D_calc= 1. 460g.cm^-3, μ= 11. 782cm^-1, R = 0. 04470, Rw = 0. 05352.
