【Abstract】 To study relationship between Gardenia blue pigment and amti inflammatory effect of fruits of Gardenia jasminoides .Methods:Blue pigments were derived from glycine and iridoid compounds genipin and mussaenoside.Anti inflammatory and analgesic effects of the blue pigments were evaluated in mice at dosages of 25 mg/kg and 30 mg/kg,respectively.Results:Blue pigment 1 exhibited anti inflammatory and analgesic effects,blue pigment 2 exhibited anti inflammatory effect,and the effect was much stronger than that of mussaenoside.Conclusion:These blue pigments may contribute to the therapeutic role of fruits of Gardenia jasminoides when the powder of which were used externally to subside swelling in folk medicine.更多还原
