【Abstract】 There has all along existed a distinction between the classical documentation and the modern documentation. These two subfields draw a clear demarcation line in between and each acts in its own way. And further more,the affiliation of the documentation keeps on vacillating. All this is detrimental to the integral development of the documentation science. In this article the author makes an analysis of the diversity and the interconnections between classical documentation and modern documentation,expounds the necessity and the feasibility of the integration of the two subfields,and brings forth his tentative ideas about the establishment of the macro documentation system.更多还原
