【Abstract】 Robert Hart is one of the foreigners who have played a rather important role in Chinese modern history. In this article,from the perspective of the relationship between Hart and Chinese Postal system of Late Qing,his personal contribution to the founding of Chinese Postal system and its results are discussed;also and his negative attitude to China’s entry into the Universal Postal Union and to its banning of KeYou is discussed. This article puts forward for us a better understanding of Hart’s special status in Chinese postal history of the modern time,and an utter revelation of his dark side as a colonist.更多还原
