【Abstract】 In this paper, the new developments of biological nitrogen removal mechanisms in single stage bio-film processes are reviewed. The mechanisms include simultaneous nitrification and denitrification, shortcut nitrification-denitrification and so on. The control conditions for effective use of the mechanisms and Influencing factors of nitrogen removal for single stage biofilm process are discussed .The authors indicate that single stage bio-film processes have great potential for biological nitrogen removal.更多还原
