【Abstract】 To study the effects of cryotherapy in the treatment of dentinal hypersensitivity. Methods:The mechanism of cryotherapy for dentinal hypersensitivity and the dose of cryosurgery were studied in guinea pigs. Clinical cryotherapy was applied in 1853 teeth of dentinal hypersensitivity. Results: 2-4 s freezing by liquid nitrogen with 2 freeze-thawing cycles could result in denature of the termi- nals in denim. 1-2 s freezing with 2-3 freeze-thawing cycles was used clinically. Denimal hypersensi- tivity was cured with one treatment in 69.3 % of the patients,and with 2-4 treatments in the others. Conclusion: Cryotherapy is simple, convenient and effective in the treatment of detinal hypersensitivity.更多还原
