【Abstract】 It is pointed that the fundamental theory in the study and design of lightening eliminator is still the neutralizing theory at present. It is necessary to measure the corona current in order to study the eliminating effect of lightening eliminators. The results measured during the past two years show that the measured corona current can not prevent lightening stroke from happening.
