【Abstract】 Setting tanks are used to decrease the amount of sedimentation from the run-off water before it flows into the water- retention well. There is no theory about how to decide the parameters of the tank so far. In referring the research results of large hydraulic engineering, authors of this paper used the diffusion equation to model the sedimentation process in the rectangular tank, solved some special problems in calculation and the calculated results were in consistent with test data.更多还原
