【Abstract】 This study is on 16 families in which there are old members who were chronics or lack of living ability because of diseases and age.The study was conducted by fieldwork from 1990 to 1991.Authors visited those cases again in 1993,1996,and 1998.Based on the data and materials that describe the rotes,types,and quality of the care giving work,the authors discuss the factors that influence the behaviors,family relations of the care giving.They point out that the different types of the family care giving come of different care givers in the families,that qualities of the care giving are different because of different roles of the care givers.One of the best types is that aged spouse exists and can do some care giving work with his/her children’s help.Authors think that the family relations can be caused to change by the care giving work in the families.Finally,authors point out that the familiy care giving work is actually a process that family members and nonfamily members participate,and that the family care giving work for the elderls need the help from those doctors,nurses,neighbors,friends and others in the community.更多还原
