【Abstract】 In order to lay large-diameter MP gas pipe at the crossing where underground pipelines are interlaced, the technicians put forward the concept of connection by using special-shaped pipe. It has been proved through practice that an elliptic pipe has an advantage over others.This paper introduces the geometrical issues, hydraulic loss, intensity calculation and manufactureconcerning elliptic special pipe.
