【Abstract】 On the basis of the practical situation of the similar structure dies, the developing possibility of a common process design module was discussed, and a CBR based process planning system model of similar structure dies (SSPPCBR) was proposed, several main modules including a CBR reasoner, an interactive process generator, an engineering database, a process knowledge base, a CAD supporting platform and how the process planning is carried out were discussed.
