【Abstract】 With the constant development of science and technology and the increasing frequency of international contacts, across-cultural communication becomes more and more important and necessary. So it is of great significance for us college teachers of English language to give our students the knowledge of across-cultural communication and improve their abilities of across-cultural communication so as to train a lot of qualified scientists and technicians for the development of science and technology of our country. In this paper the author puts forward some approaches to improving college students’ abilities of across-cultural communication in college English teaching by analyzing the cultural differences between China and western countries, the relationship between across-cultural communication and English teaching and the ways by which the knowledge of cross-culture is applied to English teaching .更多还原
