【Abstract】 WT5”BZ]The configuration of environment in LAN has developed into very complication. It often costs lots of money in managing and supporting. Customers can have multiple choices: Token Ring, Ethernet, Switch Token Ring, Switch Ethernet, 100 MB Ethernet, FDDI and ATM. As a commonly used communication mechanism and the topology of WAN, ATM has its own shortcomings and priorities.
