四硼酸铅晶体生长及特性研究

【摘要】 本文采用熔体法生长出四硼酸铅透明大单晶 ,最大尺寸为 54mm× 4 6mm× 10mm。对它的结晶学特性进行了研究 ,晶体形态为沿a c晶面延伸的厚板状 ;晶体的质量与生长时引晶方向有关 ,当 (0 10 )晶面平行于液面时 ,晶体生长均匀 ,缺陷减少。该晶体的莫氏硬度为 8~ 8.5,化学性能稳定。晶体生长时无挥发物产生 ,因而减少其对环境的污染。本文测试了PbB4 O7晶体的熔点、透光性、热扩散物理性质 ,并首次定性测试了它的非线性光学性能 ,其倍频信号强度与KDP相当。

【Abstract】 The lead tetraborate (PbB 4O 7) single crystal grown by the Kyropoulos method is shown in transparency with the maximum dimensions of 54mm×46mm×10mm.The crystal morphology appears in thick tabular form along with the extension of the a c crystal plane.The crystal quality is related to the growth direction of the seed crystal.The single crystal is smoothly grown with lack of defects while its (010) plane is parallel to the liquid face.It has specific properties,such as the Moh’s hardness in 8—8.5,chemical stability and non volatility,which would reduce to cause the environmental pollution.The melting point,transmission and thermal diffusion of the crystal were examined in this paper.The nonlinear optical performance was first tested and its intensity of the frequency doubling signal is almost equal to that of KDP.
