【Abstract】 The agriculture of the Yangtze Basin plays an impotant role in China’s national economy and in the regional development of the Yangtze Basin. After China becomes a member of WTO, the social and economic environment for agricultural development of the Yangtze Basin will change. The strategy for agricultural development of the basin in the 21st century should be adjusted. Some measures are suggested: constructing specialized production bases facing to international market; prompting the industrialization of the development of famous, high-quality and special products; implementing agricultural standardization projects; increasing investment in agricultural S&T; strengthening construction of agricultural ecology, irrigation and water conservancy.更多还原
