【Abstract】 Dr. Sun Yat-sen devoted himself to the independence of China. Under the particular circumstances, he once considered using Taiwan as a base for anti-Qing activities. After its establishment, the Nationalist Government, in consideration of the Japanese’ ruling in Taiwan, strengthened the nongovernmental relations with Taiwan. The Nationalist Government made use of the advantageous international atmosphere during World War Ⅱ, and earned the promise of the United States and Great Britain ha China would recover Taiwan when Japan was defeated. Taiwan Resources Investigation Committee would take care of affairs related to the recovery of Taiwan. The Nationalist Government recovered Taiwan in 1945.更多还原
