【Abstract】 This paper presents an interpretive analysis of the syntactical function of the word Bei in passive sentence. In the passive sentence, Bei is a preposition if the recipient of the action is used as subject. But many believe that Bei is an auxiliary if it is used immediately before the predicate. This paper puts forward a different idea. It argues that even if it is put before the predicate, Bei still has the function of preposition. It is the shortened form of the passive phrase and cannot be regarded as auxiliary.更多还原
