【Abstract】 The colonial system (including mercantilism, the slave system in manors and plantations, social hierarchies, racism, and autocratic monarchies) practiced during Spanish and Portuguese colonial rule had an important and far reaching influence on the political, social and economic development of Latin America. Since various Latin America countries became independent, the negative influences of this system have not been totally eliminated and are the source of the comparative under development of the Latin American countries and a hindrance to their modernization.更多还原
