【Abstract】 The effective synthesis of terpenediol hydrate was studied in the present paper by the common hydration of turpentine catalyzed with 30% H 2SO 4. The mass yield of the goal material reached to 101.7% (theoratical: 128.5% per 100 parts of turpentine) that is 17% higher than that of the general production (everage 85%), while a new technique was used.
