【Abstract】 Bentonite from Shangtianti was taken as feedstuff additive that was mainly used to feed meat chicken. In contrast with the antitheses group in which the meat chicken were not fed bentonite additive, the experimental chicken had gained weight obviously. The experimental chicken which were fed 1%、3% and 5% bentonite had put on weight 1.7%、7.3% and 11.7%. The ratio of meat weight to feedstuff declined from 2.28 to 2.21,2.03 and 1.90, viz, consumption of feedstuff in unit weight decreasing.
